In 2001, the Foundation trustees had the foresight to create an organization to ensure the Boys & Girls Club of Morristown continues to be a safe, fun, & functional place for the youth of today & tomorrow. The Foundation is a separate entity from the Boys & Girls Club of Morristown. Funds are gained by its yearly Steak & Burger Dinner fundraiser along with & bequests, remainder trusts, life insurance designations, & memorial/honor donations.
Steak & Burger Dinner
The “Steak & Burger Dinner” is an opportunity for community leaders and business people to join together & share a dinner with members of the Boys & Girls Club. But at this dinner the roles are reversed, the children eat steaks while the adults eat hamburgers.
Purchasing a ticket or a table to the Dinner allows the buyer to directly benefit more than 2,000 children. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of the outstanding members of the Boys & Girls Club of Morristown.
The dinner also honors one of Morristown’s exemplary community members who has dedicated a lifetime of service to young people through the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
The evening promises to be full of entertainment which includes: performances by club members & an inspirational address by one of our esteemed guest speakers which have included Pat Summitt, Governor Phil Bredesen, & Admiral Schofield.
